About Dr. Rami Nader

    Dr. Rami Nader is a Registered Psychologist in the Province of British Columbia (Registration #1683) and certified in cognitive-behavioural therapy by the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies. He received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of British Columbia, after completing a pre-doctoral internship (with a primary rotation in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic) at the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority in 2005. He is a director at the North Shore Stress and Anxiety Clinic where he has been working as a psychologist in private practice since 2005, specializing in diagnosis, assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders (specifically, posttraumatic stress disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and specific phobias), depression, chronic pain management and stress management. He has provided numerous independent medical evaluations (IME's) and medical legal consultations for psychological injuries and emotional difficulties related to personal injury litigation and disability evaluations.He has been qualified as an expert witness in psychology in British Columbia Supreme Court and RCMP hearings in the Federal Court of Canada.  In addition to his private practice and consulting work, he is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia and Clinical Associate in the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University, teaching and training clinical psychology graduate students. He has published articles and chapters in scholarly journals and books and has given presentations at national and international professional conferences in the areas of forensic psycholoigcal assessments, psychology, pain and substance abuse.
